Repeat Prescriptions
Can be obtained once you have seen the doctor (or nurse) and he or she is satisfied that you need long term medication. When you require a further supply of your medication you should present the side of your prescription completed with the medication you require. We no longer accept telephone requests for repeat prescriptions (from July 2014) You can -
post your request
order it on line (please ask receptionist for log in details)
put it through letter box
ask in person or
You can sign up with a local pharmacy of your choice and have your prescription automatically sent to them and arrange collection there or have them delivered by them.
You will be able to collect your prescription 1 working day later.
Community Pharmacy Minor Ailments Scheme
Only patients who are exempt from prescription charges are eligible for this scheme. Please ask at reception for further information. Patients with minor ailments such as cough, sore throat, headache, earache, temperature, nasal congestion, hay fever, head lice, indigestion, heartburn, diarrhoea, constipation, thrush, contact dermatitis, athletes foot, teething can be initially dealt with by the pharmacist who can offer medication if required and appropriate advice.
