We have online appointment availability - please ask the reception team to register you.

Extended Hours are provided by all GP Surgeries in Derwentside evenings and weekends -  please ask the receptionist for information or to arrange an appointment for you.

If you wish to order your prescription online please register on this website, if you are not registered please ask the receptionist to register you.  We also have the availability of Electronic Prescribing Service, whereby you register with a chemist of your choice and your prescription is automatically sent directly to them.  Please ask the receptionist for details of this service. We would be most grateful if you could complete our Friends and Family test either in the surgery or on this website.

We provide extended hours at both surgeries from 7.30 to 8am on Mondays at West Road, Annfield Plain and 7.30 to 8am on Thursday at our Louisa Surgery in Stanley.

Every patient on our list now has a named GP however your are still able to see the GP of your choice.

Practice Survey Reporting

Our patient reference group were recruited in 2011 during w/c 25th July where every patient attending the surgery was given a form asking for them to be a part of our Patient Reference Group. We had an uptake of 85 members with fairly good overall representation. We still have a very active patient group virtually and face to face who all provide very useful insight into our patient perspective.

Patient Survey 2018

We consulted with our patient forum this year prior to a patient survey which was then carried out w/c 11th June 2018.

Our results were very pleasing with an overall 94% of patients finding our service good, very good or excellent with some minor points to look at. An action plan will be designed based on these findings and will be included on this page. In the meantime please take a look at our survey results.

We conducted a patient survey in October this year which was chosen and influenced by the active members of our virtual patient forum.

The survey results overall were very pleasing with 99% of those asked would recommend our practice to their friends and family.
